I am not fan of Savannah the witchso I skip those books. Sounds sappy I know, but it goes down easy I swear. The pros and cons of armstrojg in each form are brought out very well too.

They get better and better. Elena notices how off kilter she becomes without him — especially after receiving a disturbing letter from someone in her past. Dec 31, Dck rated it really liked it. Comments I’m obsessed with any book taking place in Alaska! So when Elena is trying to tell a young mutt the danger he is in and he goes to Alaska without hearing it, the two make a trip up there together to find him and warn him. I instantly took a liking to Noah, despite his age and criminal record he was very brave and honorable when he tried to protect Elena from being raped and killed at great risk to himself.

Really, what more do you need from a guilty pleasure? So I started reading this book and loved it, then I hated it, then I loved it again. Frostbitten is the fourth story that features Elena and in previous instalments readers have followed her development as she returns to the American werewolf pack and reconciles herself with the man who bit her and turned her into a werewolf, eventually marrying him and having werewolf babies.

When they hear of a series of gruesome maulings and murders outside Anchorage, she and her husband, Clay, journey to Alaska in the dead of winter in order to hunt down the dangerous werewolves.

While some of the plot was trying at times, the story as a whole moved forward, and given the end of the series is near, that is a very good thing.

The pace is calmer than a few others in the series, but this only heightens the sense of isolation that complements the winter setting. It was qrmstrong written and fast paced, and I zoomed through it in one night. Either Clayton or Elena has been chosen armstorng become the new Pack leader, and every wolf knows that there can be only one Alpha. This series jumps characters. Unseen and unsuspected, this realm of witches, ghosts, and werewolves is now threatened with exposure by a brutal series of bizarre murders that has left even the supernatural world baffled—and cold with terror…. Jaime, as a necromancer, follows that. They are kindred spirits in a lot more ways than they realize. She wants to warn him that he is in danger from a couple of man-eating rogue werewolves.

She has moments when her fear takes over, but she doesn’t let it run her life. Sep 30, Kylie Briggs rated it it was amazing Shelves: They even run into a werewolf who lives with the wolves instead of humans. Armstrong remains at the top of her game with nonstop action and interesting new characters.

The ending of the book was wonderful, and it portrays keley that a pack should be like. This isn’t a boy meets girl kind of book, although some of her books are heavy on that element. Frostbitten is truly Elena’s book.

There are goodies and baddies, adn there are those who fall in between the two. And I don’t think I got through any of the other non-wolf books, except for Jaime’s, and she’s involved with Jeremy so she’s part of Elena and Clay’s world more than the rest.

To add to that, they find the Stillwaters, only they find Dennis murdered and Joey extremely uncooperative. The Alaskan wilderness is a harsh landscape in the best of conditions, but with a pack of rogue werewolves on the loose, it’s downright deadly. The story begins with Elena trying to catch up with a young Aussie wolf named Reese, who is being set up to take the fall for some man-eaters.

I really didn’t think that I would enjoy it too much, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. Chasing the mutts around Elena stumbles into all kinds of crazy adventures. The rest of the pack also make an appearance if only towards the end. Not that I mind if it enriches the story, but interesting how I keep reading more bks with rape scenes.

But I love it, anyway. Clay is awesome, he’ll always be awesome, and we get a good dose of him here.
